Each color revolution reveals this fact, but this latest manufactured protest exposes further the U.S. geopolitical agenda to limit Russia's influence anywhere even on its own borders. Events like this show that Zbigniew Brezizinski wields more influence than the cast of media celebrities auditioning for the lead in that reality show called the Presidency.
Fox News obsesses over Trump's crude call to protect sovereignty by building a wall. But, do they ask him about the impact on national sovereignty if the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) is implemented? He soundbites responses saying they are bad for America. Not much else. Moreover if a wall is a good idea or at least worth debating its merits then then why not debate using proxies to advance geopolitical objectives abroad regardless how much danger it may cause? Or, if protecting national borders offends his detractors what about extending the reach of its empire?
TPP is discussed a just another trade deal negotiated to maintain American strength while enabling greater cooperation and trade among its partners, which will mutually benefit all participating nations. This deal portends more than just lost jobs for Americans but further enables corporations to usurp more power from both the state and the populations in nations wherein they conduct business. In other words TPP is simply an agreement that will, if implemented, further eliminate any democratic forces in the effected nations that may oppose corporate interests. Their is an historical precedence for this view.
For trade agreements that are promoted as empowering, their details are negotiated in secret. One critic of TPP U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren expresses her opposition thus:
Most of the TPP is about letting multinational corporations rig the rules - on everything from patent protection to food safety standards - all to benefit themselves. The first clue about who the TPP helps is who wrote it. Twenty-eight trade advisory committees were formed to whisper in the ear of our trade negotiators-to urge them to move this way or that in the negotiations. Who are the special, privileged whisperers? Eighty-five percent are senior corporate executives or industry lobbyists. Many of the committees - including those on chemicals and pharmaceuticals, aerospace equipment, textiles and clothing, and financial services - are one hundred percent industry representatives. The second clue about what's going on is that it all happened behind closed doors... A rigged process produces a rigged outcome. When the people whispering in the ears of our negotiators are mostly top executives and lobbyists for the biggest corporations - and when the public is shut out of the negotiating process -the final deal tilts in favor of corporate interests. [1]Senator Warren's comments may sound like a politician speaking with polemics to pander to a leftist base. But, her views are supported by the facts. The tightly controlled degree of secrecy used in negotiating the TPP is thus:
The aforementioned secrecy contradicts the progressive sounding propaganda of the Office of the United States Trade Representative that claims the TPP is "Leveling the playing field for American workers and American businesses." The U.S. eventually published the details of the TPP. Their publishing the full text of this trade deal allays no concerns about its non-democratic features. Try to read through one of the TPP's critical provisions referred to as the infamous "investor state dispute settlement" (ISDS) . If these legalistic provisions are applied how will they TPP facilitate a "leveling the playing field for American workers?"So who can read the text of the TPP? Not you, it’s classified. Even members of Congress can only look at it one section at a time in the Capitol’s basement, without most of their staff or the ability to keep notes. But there’s an exception: if you’re part of one of 28 U.S. government-appointed trade advisory committees providing advice to the U.S. negotiators. The committees with the most access to what’s going on in the negotiations are 16 “Industry Trade Advisory Committees,” whose members include AT&T, General Electric, Apple, Dow Chemical, Nike, Walmart and the American Petroleum Institute. Such propaganda slogans show an establishment relying on obsolete rhetoric. Their improved use of propaganda is unnecessary though because they have gained more concentrations of power. This kind of propaganda used today when measured against actual economic conditions is slightly less disingenuous than the diabolical arbeit macht frei. Yes I violated Godwin's law. but I don't care given the U.S. and its 11 partners agreeing to trade deals that will usurp the popular will of peoples in the 12 subject nations, meanwhile mocking the masses by claiming to leveling the playing fields for workers. So the U.S. promotes corporate oligarchies' interests under the guise of free trade agreements. Yet the same U.S. establishment claims to promote democracy in nations bordering Russia like Armenia.
The current protests in Armenia's capital city Yerevan are directed as one of the protest leaders Davit Sanasaryan stated "not against Russia but against Russian policy and Putinism." The term "Putinism" in this context refers mostly to Russia currently providing Azerbaijan 85% of its weapons. This fact tempts our seeing Putin converting Azerbaijan into a market for Russia's defense industries, sacrificing Armenia's sovereignty. It is not that simple though.
Mercury LLC who is registered as a foreign agent for Turkey's government attempted a recent propaganda offensive in the U.S. claiming that Armenia's and Russia's maintaining a close military alliance, posing a threat to peace and security in that region. Mercury LLC has sent two separate documents one which was sent to Secretary of State John Kerry and the other to members of Congress. Russia becoming the main supplier of weapons to Azerbaijan does not concern Mercury INC. Mercury LLC is however concerned about Russia selling weapons to Armenia. They act on behalf of a Turkish government that still formally denies the Turkish genocide against Armenia that happened in 1915. Mercury LLC seems to believe a minor contention of historical truth shouldn't harm Turkey's credibility. These conflicting images if believed suggest Putin's hand is seen in every significant event destabilizing the region. But, more analysis of Armenia's protests show its leaders serving as tools of U.S. destabilization efforts.
During June 2015 Armenians opposed to a price increase of 17%-22% of electricity participated in a mass public demonstration that became known as Electric Yerevan. Protesters claimed their only motivation was convincing the government to reverse the electricity rate hike. Ten months later Armenians expanded their anger to Putinism. Is this an indigenous protest consisting of Armenians acting independently of any foreign influence? Not exactly. Davit Sanasaryan's associates show he is more than just an Armenian David opposed to a Putinist-Goliath:
Davit Sanasaryan (also spelled “David Sanasaryan”), among other things, is an opposition politician with the Heritage Party who helped lead the previous US-backed “Electric Yerevan protests in mid-2015. He is also an associate of the Armenian-based National Citizens’ Initiative (NCI), revealed in the NCI’s own news bulletin titled, “NCI Focuses on Armenia’s Mining Sector,” which reports (emphasis added):
NCI associate Davit Sanasarian welcomed the audience with opening remarks. “The exploitation of the Teghut mine is an actual matter and it calls for serious discussions and proper suggestions prior to the undertaking of this project,” he said.
This bulletin alone seems innocuous enough, however, another NCI bulletin would reveal itself to be coordinating with and receiving aid from the US National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The bulletin titled, “NCI Partakes in a Civil Society Meeting,” states (emphasis added):
The NED's history with color revolutions suggests this anti-Putin protest in Armenia is being used to advance U.S. geopolitical interests in this region. What would the U.S. reaction be if Putin supported a U.S. protest group that staged a mass protest demanding immediate improvements in the water supply for residents of Flint Michigan? The National Citizens’ Initiative (NCI) representatives attended, between 14 and 15 April 2011, the conference entitled “Assisting Armenia’s Civil Society Organizations.” This event was an initiative of the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD) organization and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Yerevan Office, and it was organized with the assistance of the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
The objective of the conference was to contribute in developing the capacity of Armenia’s civil society organizations by way of cooperation and exchange of know-how with Central and Eastern European civil society associations. [3]
Trade deals like TPP and U.S. supporting protests in foreign countries form two sides of the same coin. The U.S. by engaging in both actions attempts to extend the nexus of U.S. and corporate hegemony. Such attempts may push us into World War III, permanently resetting the Grand Chessboard. Each chess piece being reset will result from millions dying whose lives were mere pawns in a clash not of civilizations but empires.
